The green fields of Belgian Limburg are fertile ground for musical talent. The latest proof is Sevens: still only 23, but already besotted as a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. His aptly indie soul is built around his engaging baritone that seemingly effortlessly reaches the heights and depths of the frequency spectrum with.

Sevens became the 2021 laureate of Soundtrack (a highly regarded competition for emerging talent) and debuted that same year with a self-released EP. It earned him praise from the likes of Chet Faker and Chuki Beats and a streaming hit, a collab with blackwave. 3 years later, he is about to release his debut album Sincerely, Sevens on Unday Records.

Sevens draws inspiration from iconic crooners with packs of soul like Bill Withers and D'Angelo, but equally stirs the pots of contemporary chefs like Kendrick Lamar and James Blake. He serves his deliciously steaming ratouille all by himself for lunch at the VIERNULVIER Café during Week of Belgian Music.
