Lunchconcert: Catbug

'Catbug' might as well have been a title for a Netflix series. Admittedly, the scenario already has potential: a young woman named Paulien flees the hustle and bustle of Antwerp to settle on an organic farm, 'De Paardebloemhoeve'. This turns out to be the ideal habitat to compose a Dutch-language record with the catchy title 'Slapen onder een hunebed'. In doing so, she amasses a bevy of loyal listeners.... In Japan! Where they gladly ignore the language barrier for Catbug's dreamy indie-folk reminiscent of Jessica Pratt and Joni Mitchell.

Several years - and a Japanese record label - later comes a new episode with “Musjemeesje,” an ode to the birds around the farm. We are more than happy to serve you a vol-au-vent along with a lunch concert at the VIERNULVIER Café!
