Welcome to the table. Today on the menu: plant-based pancakes with side dishes of alternatives for care and family.

Since the rise of industrialization and capitalism, the nuclear family has been considered the norm. But what are possible alternatives? In the long-term social art project Tafelen, Anna Schlooz explores different forms of family and care, drawing from her experiences in youth care and queer communities. In 2025, the focus will shift to future visions: what do the lives of queers who do not have children look like? Together with experts by experience, Anna explores the place of care in their lives, the loss that not becoming a parent entails, and wishes for the future.

Join us at the table and get to know her research.
