Vest 2022

In collaboration with Manoeuvre, an art residency in Ghent, we created hand-hooked costumes symbolizing our lives. Inspired by the ancient Egyptian belief in an ideal afterlife—where one continues to harvest and work as on Earth—we wondered if there was an ideal life beyond our present one. This raised questions about the symbols of what really matters to us now. We presented this collective imagination on the bodies of the creators during the opening of Dear Yves, transforming them into a walking art platform between the Rabot neighborhood and KIOSK. This gesture emphasized their ownership and authorship of the works.
