VIERNULVIER is looking for a housekeeping employee for the temporary reinforcement of the team.
VIERNULVIER Arts Centre welcomes 350,000 visitors a year for theatre, debate, concerts, spoken word, talks, performance, dance, nightlife and literature, among other things. The VIERNULVIER Café, housed in De Vooruit, acts as a central meeting place. VIERNULVIER presents its programme both inside and outside De Vooruit.
Job
As a member of the housekeeping team, you will be responsible for the cleaning and tidiness of De
Vooruit, a protected monument. You will also provide support in a number of logistical tasks
What are your main tasks?
- Together with your other housekeeping colleagues, you are responsible for the daily cleaning tasks;
- The cleaning assignments run on a daily and monthly schedule, and vary
depending on the events in the house. For example: cleaning the Concert Hall and/or
Ballroom after a nightlife event, cleaning the VIERNULVIER Café, meeting rooms and the
offices, keeping the entrance hall clean, etc; - You handle cleaning products and cleaning equipment (incl. scrubber drier) in
correctly and safely. - You identify defects and report stock shortages in good time.
- You will also be called in to help with logistical tasks: helping to set up the room (setting up chairs
tables), moving materials, etc. - You will be supported by your colleagues, the coordinator of the housekeeping team and the
facility coordinator, who manages tasks on the work floor.
Who are we looking for?
- You have accumulated experience within cleaning/housekeeping;
- You enjoy being on the shop floor;
- You do not like sitting still and love a physical job;
- You work neatly and get satisfaction from the result of your work;
- You are willing to work according to a rotation system in the weekend (starting time 6 am) and
working on weekdays between 6h30-14h30 is a good match for you.
What we offer
- A temporary 4/5th contract until the end of November 2025. This in the framework of covering
an absence due to time credit. A permanent contract, after positive evaluation, is a real
possibility. - Salary according to PC 304 - Performing Arts in scale C. Relevant experience will be taken into account.
