Echanté at VIERNULVIER
VIERNULVIER is one of the Hartelijke Plekken (Heartful Places) that collaborates with Enchanté. For many years, you can treat a deferred coffee or soup to people who have to make do with less in our VIERNULVIER Café. Or treat someone with a ticket for a show!

Enchanté is a network of cordial merchants, founded in 2017, with the goal of bridging the gap between the community and people who are out of touch with society. Homeless people, those in poverty, those with mental health problems and those in loneliness can thus reconnect with society.
Enchanté believes that people from the same city can mean more to each other. The organization wants to create places where everyone is welcome and feels welcome. Where people who are less fortunate can walk in and ask for a coffee without shame. Enchanté believes that a small gesture can make a difference. Meanwhile, they already have several places, spread all over Flanders. Also VIERNULVIER is ééone of those locations. In the Café people can charge their phone, use the toilet, read the newspaper én ask for a delayed coffee or soup.
Treat someone
You can pay for a deferred coffee or soup for someone else. It is then given away anonymously to someone who asks for it or needs it. At the VIERNULVIER Café we met Steve, an ex-homeless person who now works at Enchanté. He is 42 years old and lives in Ghent.

He got to know Enchanté when he was still living on the streets. “Enchanté offered tremendous support, especially in the winter. It was nice to get a coffee or a packet of French fries.” Meanwhile, he is doing well. Steve hopes that people who can spare a few euros will donate them to Enchanté. “Especially during this cold spell, that can be a boost for a lot of people."

Deferred tickets
You can also gift a deferred ticket: with your donation, Enchanté members can enjoy a performance from the VIERNULVIER program. In this way we want to lower the threshold for entering culture houses. Because everyone is entitled to an evening of culture.
PRACTICAL
Donations can be made at the Ticket Desk or online. You choose how much you donate. Enchanté publicizes the offer to its members through ambassadors and social partners such as CPAS, psychiatric institutions, homeless organizations,... Interested parties then choose which performance to go to.
