Kristof Blom appointed as artistic coordinator VIERNULVIER

KRISTOF BLOM APPOINTED AS ARTISTIC COORDINATOR AT VIERNULVIER

Following an international selection process, Kristof Blom has been appointed as the new Artistic Coordinator of Arts Centre VIERNULVIER. He succeeds Róise Goan, who recently became Director of the Dublin Theatre Festival.

Kristof Blom studied Theatre Studies at Ghent University. He worked as a dramaturge for Toneelhuis and HetPaleis. Since 2002, he has been affiliated with Victoria, which later, following its merger with Nieuwpoort, became the internationally renowned Arts Centre CAMPO. At CAMPO, he managed international relations, and in 2012, he became its Artistic Director.

“CAMPO has always had a 'passing-on' function. We provide artists and makers with space to experiment, grow, and develop. We are never the final destination of their journey—we often see them transition to larger stages or establish their own structures. Kristof's departure feels the same way. As Artistic Director, he has truly put us on the map. Now, we pass him on. We will miss him, but we are confident that our paths will cross again. VIERNULVIER and CAMPO have worked closely together for years, and we look forward to continuing that collaboration with great enthusiasm in the future.”
Ilse Delmeire
Business Director, CAMPO

“I am incredibly excited to bring the experience, network, and vision I have built at CAMPO to VIERNULVIER. The innovative power of this multifaceted organization—at a city, national, and international level—fills me with energy, imagination, and enthusiasm. Together with the strong team of experts, I want to highlight the uniqueness of this house and its operations. We aim to craft an inspiring, connecting, and energizing story, alongside a diverse group of artists and a broad audience. And all of this within the fantastic setting of De Vooruit and Club Wintercircus.”
Kristof Blom

“VIERNULVIER is impressed by Kristof's strong network and ambitious plans. Together with a team of programmers and all VIERNULVIER employees, he will continue to shape the artistic imagination of the city. You can witness this daily on the stages of De Vooruit, in Club Wintercircus, and in extraordinary locations across Ghent.
As a platform, VIERNULVIER collaborates annually with around a hundred partners from the cultural and social sectors, education, and business. That we will continue to do so with CAMPO is self-evident.”
Franky Devos
General Coordinator, VIERNULVIER

VIERNULVIER is a Flemish arts institution working across dance, music, spoken word, nightlife, food, and talks, welcoming 315,000 visitors annually. Kristof Blom will officially assume the role of Artistic Coordinator in May 2025. His mandate lasts six years and can be extended once.
