INCLUSION
Nothing for everyone, something for everyone: VIERNULVIER is there for everyone. We like to reach out to those who are less likely to find their way to us. Therefore, Vooruit collaborates with local service centers and community workers, among others, provides rehearsal space for OKAN classes and links its operation to the city and its diverse population whenever possible. Questions? Contact publiekswerking@viernulvier.gent. Read more about inclusion and accessibility here.
PARTICIPATION TRACK
VIERNULVIER works with a wide range of international artists. They often collaborate with local participants, who are themselves on stage and help create the performance. In these trajectories, audience participation tries to involve the widest possible diversity of people and bodies from the city and beyond. We work with open calls in this process. Interested? Questions? Contact us at publiekswerking@viernulvier.gent.
GUIDED TOURS
Once a month on Sunday you can discover De Vooruit during a guided tour with an experienced guide. Check the Agenda for the next date. Would you like a customized tour? Or would you like to take a guided tour in a different language with a group? Read all about it here.
Pre- & post-show discussions
Once again we will be organising a number of discussions with various artists from the Vooruit programme. These entail a discussion in which we talk with the actor(s) or director about the show, their inspiration and their upcoming projects. Got a burning question? Feel free to put it to our guest! Keep an eye on vooruit.be for more info.
Coming to a show as a group and interested in a pre- or post-show discussion? Contact publiekswerking@vooruit.be.
SCHOOLS AND GROUPS
Are you coming to a performance with a (school) group? Would you like an introduction or after talk? Let us know via publiekswerking@viernulvier.gent and together we will see what is possible.
Read at School
Uitgelezen op School is an accessible version of the literary program Uitgelezen, but then for young people in secondary education and college and university students. Beforehand, several authors pay a visit. Then the students comment on the chosen books. A panel of well-known readers gives them reading tips. The students learn to discuss, their creativity is stimulated and they discover literature in a different way. An excellent way to ignite reading pleasure!

Lesson of the Century
In a Lesson of the Century, primary and secondary school youth are presented with searingly topical themes. In these open lessons, authorities from the academic, political, journalistic and artistic world explain subjects in an accessible way. Past editions have featured such luminaries as Wouter Hillaert (Rekto:Verso), Rachida Lamrabet (author & lawyer), Nigel Williams (man-with-a-science), Bruno De Wever (UGent) and Minister of Justice Koen Geens.
