Cakes Da Killa was born in New Jersey, but has since reigned in New York for more than a decade. Worldwide, he holds stages and dance floors in his grip with a trendsetting mix of rap, house, jazz and dance.

These days, Cakes Da Killa is held in high regard by critics and audiences alike. In 2023, he played at Glastonbury, Sonar, several Boiler Room events and collaborated with such ringing names as Honey Dijon, Injury Reserve, Rye Rye and CocoRosie. Black Sheep, Killa's third album is a survival album where the main character finds peace and enjoys life. He collaborated with partner in crime Sam Katz, the producer behind 2022's Svengali. Half house, half hardcore: Cakes wrote every beat, Katz provided the beats.
