Since then, she has covered, especially as "the voice from London," all the major and minor developments in the country. From peace negotiations in Northern Ireland to the phenomenon of Boris Johnson, from the rise of Harry Potter to the death of Princess Diana. Especially the latter. Of all the journalistic assignments, stories about the royals have remained the most consistent.

Van Bekhoven has never become an Anglophile, but she has become a Dutch Londoner.
