For several years now, something has been buzzing in the Dutch black-metal scene. One of the most mysterious and leading bands of the moment is undoubtedly Fluisteraars. Their unique sound combines dark ambient soundscapes with scorching and almost psychedelic guitar tsunamis.

At the request of VIERNULVIER and Addergebroed, they curated an evening with like-minded souls in De Vooruit's concert hall and - which does not happen very often - they will play live. On Belgian soil for the first time, so make sure not to miss out.

Fluisteraars

The mysticism woven into Fluisteraars' (Dutch for 'whisperers') region whispers about a past that defies the reality we think we know. Fluisteraars amplify these faint echoes, pulling open the veil of local folklore to reveal hidden worlds. Their music, both profound and experimental, is a journey in which they push the boundaries of human perception to ascend to spiritual forts and forgotten landscapes.

With a discography of five full-length albums and multiple splits, Fluisteraars stands as a pillar in the scene. Several albums have been named ‘Album of the Year’ by Stereogum, NRC and Invisible Oranges, attracting worldwide attention - a testament to their growing influence, as seen at their debut show in Iceland.

Fluisteraars continue their quest, using music and art as lanterns to guide listeners deeper into the unknown dimension they have uncovered.

Alkerdeel

A band that - for fans of extremely dirty metal - would need no introduction. In 2025, the renowned Alkerdeel will celebrate its 20th anniversary (hip hip!) with exactly one show on these Flemish fields, and that at the invitation of Fluisteraars in De Vooruit's Concertzaal.

What do you do when the music you want to hear is nowhere to be found? You just play it yourself. That was Alkerdeel's starting point: fusing the icy sound of Norwegian Darkthrone with the heavy doom sound of American Burning Witch. If the gentlemen had any ambition at all, it did not extend beyond their garage door.

Five records and several splits via Consouling Sounds and Babylon Doom Cult Records later, Alkerdeel has become an unstoppable force. Their sound has evolved into a dirty mix of all the extreme that can be found in the metal genre. With success: last year they were allowed to close the Dome Hall of the renowned Roadburn festival, and last June they surpassed the creaking glaciers at the kvlter than kvlt House of the Holy festival in the Austrian mountains. Their credo: only live is real - only first take is real.Don't forget your earplugs! Or just do, of course *evil grin*

Iskander

We open the evening with the psychedelic doomfolk of Iskandr. Dark medieval melancholy straight from the catacombs of Nijmegen. With various influences from post-punk and shoe gaze and an extensive instrumentation, Iskandr guarantees a dark hypnosis session. Ideal to open this evening with.
