TK Kirkland

TK Kirkland is the foremost American underground comic, and one that has gained a tremendous cult following over the past few decades.

TK Kirkland, or "T To The M*th*f*ckin K" as he likes to call himself, is like a Forrest Gump of hip-hop and comedy—connecting stars throughout the years, launching careers with his management company, aiding in squashing beef, and so much more. The man has led a very colorful life (to say the least) and is not ashamed to talk about it.

He was instrumental in the formation of legendary rap group N.W.A, and he launched Oscar-winning Hollywood star Jamie Foxx, Original King of Comedy D.L. Hughley, and crowd favorite Mike Epps. Born in New Jersey, he spent his formative years in Compton and just recently had a street named after him in his birthplace.

He has the gift of comedic timing, cadence, and intonation, can riff off impromptu occurrences, and has stories (and opinions) for miles. However, he is best known for the hilarious catchphrase “Who raised you?”, which is also the title of one of his most sought-after performances. This show was the #1 comedy show on Amazon Prime upon its release in 2019.

Although he doesn’t shy away from bigger issues, his main commentary revolves around how people live, love, and interact. He has a knack for blending strong opinions with absolute nonsense—so much so that the line between the two becomes blurred.

Few other comics can deliver the way TK Kirkland does, making him one of the most influential Afro-American comics on the scene today.
