Folk collector and innovator Jake Xerxes Fussell is planting new roots for contemporary Americana in Ghent.

The Georgia-born Jake Xerxes Fussell has delighted the world with his Americana and folk gems that he lovingly selected over the past decade. This practice was instilled in him from a young age, and like his parents, Fussell aims to protect traditional music from obscurity. In his more recent work, he increasingly gives himself the freedom to make this sound his own with every pluck of the string for a new generation of music lovers.

Ciska Ciska is the project centered around singer-songwriter Ciska Dhaenens. With her songs and her voice she opens the gate to her world of feelings for us, in which premature lyrics and howling wolves play the leading role. Meanwhile, she also shouldered a rock-solid (boys) band behind her. Ciska Ciska's music is reminiscent of her own idols such as Adrianne Lenker (Big Thief, among others), Julia Jacklin and Aldous Harding. Get ready for a laugh and a tear, because this woman leaves no one unmoved.

The concert series PALMARIUM brings seven evenings of music to the beautiful Botanical Garden of the Ghent University Museum. This series is a collaboration between VIERNULVIER, Kunstmest, Democrazy & GUM.
