Panel conversation with the artists of 'Still Lives: Ghent'

Daniel Kok en Luke George use rope bondage in their shared artistic practice. It’s a way for them to explore the web of connections between people, a way to think about how we relate to each other, a way of observing ourselves. On the 12th of May they will be opening their practice by giving an artist talk. In this talk they will give further insight into the framework in which their work exists and the different projects they have been involved in.

After their presentation the conversation will continue as a panel. Daniel and Luke will be joined by Paola Bartoletti and Sofie. Paola is a movement teacher at KASK Drama. Her work is based on anatomy,  physiology and on the experience of it, inviting to discover the systems of the human body, where each of them let emerge a quality of movement, a state of the body and specific states of mind, awakening the innate intelligence and potential transformations. She is also active as a singer and writer. Sofie is a leather dyke and lifestyler, with a fascination for the macabre beauty of suffering, devotion, tenderness, nuance, and the human hunger for overwhelm and destruction.

We are happy to co-present this evening with the student-association Kajira.
