Jimena Pérez Salerno is an Argentinian choreographer and dancer based in Brussels. She views choreographic practice as a system of relationships that enables modes of imagination, attention, and coexistence. Her work leans toward performative practices that activate unexpected contexts, allowing collective reflections to emerge through embodied experiences.

In her most recent project, Unproductive Will, she explored the concept of expanded choreography as a critical approach to political awareness, reflecting on the Western notion of linear time and productive behavior—both of which she considers collective colonial wounds.

She obtained a postgraduate degree from a.pass (Advanced Performance and Scenography Studies) in 2022 (BE), an MA in Scenic Practice and Visual Culture from ARTEA and the Reina Sofía Museum, Madrid, in 2019 (ES), and a degree in Choreographic Composition from the National University of Arts in 2014 (AR). In 2019, she was awarded the Danceweb scholarship at the ImPulsTanz International Dance Festival, Vienna (AT).
