Oriana Ikomo

Belgian musician Oriana Ikomo (25) wraps her neo-soul and R&B vocal vocal lines in a cloak of jazz harmonies and electronic rhythms that have a soft, comforting texture. The result is a unique sound that accompanies her warm voice. Oriana Ikomo is the brainchild of musician/performer Oriana Mangala, which originated during her studies at the Ghent Conservatory of Music. Her debut single 'YOU' (2021) is a blood-curdling introduction to her delicate vocal qualities and dreamy atmosphere, both in sound and image, about love and self-acceptance.

On this, she wrote: "Empathy should be the basis of any relationship. But sometimes even the people you love and are closest to can suddenly seem very distant and feel apathetic. Alienation, especially in these times, is something that is increasingly common. In the video, the dancers depict that feeling. The alienation is in their eyes, which have gone numb. YOU is not a song about heartbreak. It is about the phase after grief and anger. The phase when you quietly begin to have hope again that you can find the connections you once lost with others."
